WELCOME TO OUR FESTIVAL
Dear Friends, welcome to the Second Pacific Northwest Ukrainian Festival in Bellevue’s Crossroads Park. It is a privilege to be able to host such a wonderful event to celebrate Ukraine’s 26th Independence.
Ukraine has a rich history that has brought many wonderful traditions to our families, some of which we would like to share with you today. You can also read more about Ukraine’s history in this brochure.
This event was made possible together with the City of Bellevue, our sponsors, and many volunteers who have dedicated their time and resources.
There are many activities your family can enjoy together. From our real trout fishing pond, children’s inflatables, and sports competitions to our Ukrainian vyshyvanka dress competition and raffle, we seek to celebrate Ukrainian culture.
I hope that you will be able to have a wonderful time and enjoy the beautiful music and performances, authentic Ukrainian food and drinks, and the numerous activities offered at this event.
I would like to personally thank you for coming to the First Pacific Northwest Ukrainian Festival and I hope you and your family enjoy learning about Ukrainian culture and heritage.
Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Seattle,
Through this event, the Festival Committee seeks to share Ukrainian culture, represent the Northwest’s Ukrainian population, and strengthen connections between the Ukrainian community and Northwest population at large.
